Table tennis as a means of scientific and applied research in the educational process of students

In the modern educational process, it is important to introduce innovative teaching methods that contribute to the development of physical and cognitive abilities of students, the upbringing of moral and volitional qualities, the formation of value attitudes. One of such tools is table tennis classes, which combine physical activity, the development of reaction, attention, analytical abilities, self-control, etc. At the same time, the scientific validity of the advantages of table tennis in the educational process (in physical education lessons and in sports and recreation activities) requires its wider implementation and integration both into curricula and into the process of implementing scientific and applied research in ZZSO. Regular classes in this sport contribute to the harmonious comprehensive development of the personality: physical development (coordination of movements, speed of reaction, endurance, flexibility, agility); cognitive development (concentration of attention, strategic thinking, memory development, multitasking); social development (team interaction, development of communication skills, education of discipline and self-control, inclusiveness); psycho-emotional development (reduction of anxiety levels, development of perseverance, formation of motivation). Thus, table tennis is not only a sport, but also an important element of the comprehensive development of children and schoolchildren. It has a positive effect on the physical condition, mental abilities, social adaptation and emotional well-being of children. It is worth noting that table tennis can be effectively integrated into the educational process of ZZSO by including it in the school physical education program, holding extracurricular tournaments and sections to promote a healthy lifestyle, using the game to develop analytical thinking (calculation of angles, impact force, studying the trajectory of the ball), etc. To enhance the potential of table tennis in the process of education and development of schoolchildren, an innovative direction of work can be the introduction of table tennis as a tool for scientific and applied research. Various aspects of this sport can be used in pedagogical research and experiments.
