A fine motor skills level in higher educational institution students in the first year of study

Currently, among the published results of scientific research, there is no information on the experience of using such an indicator as the level of development of fine motor skills as a criterion of individual academic success of students in fitness classes. The purpose of our study is to assess the level of development of fine motor skills of students of a higher educational institution as a criterion of the success of the educational and training program in the fitness section. We found out that the arithmetic mean value of the indicator of the level of development of fine motor skills, obtained using JTHFT, is 0.3 points at the beginning, and 0.7 points at the end of the second academic semester. The level of development of fine motor skills at the next level correlates with a number of indicators characterizing the success of fitness classes of students of educational and artistic specialties: with academic success in general - 0.52; with success in the discipline "Physical Education" - 0.41; with the Rufier index - 0.32. This indicates the possibility of using JTHFT as a tool for determining the level of development of fine motor skills in students, as an auxiliary criterion for assessing their success in the fitness section
