Nanopore single-molecule investigation of aflatoxin B1–aptamer interactions for evolving the aptamer
By utilizing characteristic blocking signatures, the interactions between aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) and its aptamer were investigated. Furthermore, its aptamer sequence was evolved to have a higher affinity (<i>K</i>d) calculated to be 18.74 nM for AFB1 than previous reports. This evolved aptamer-based nanopore strategy enabled the sensitive detection of trace AFB1 with a linear range from 0.5 to 100 nM.
