A Novel Method for Optimal Capacity Configuration of the Grid-Connected Wind-Solar Complementary Power Generation
In this paper, a fast algorithm for optimal allocation of installed capacity of the wind-solar power generation system in distributed generations is proposed. Firstly, we select an appropriate model for the grid-connected wind and solar power plants. Secondly, the Loss Of Load Probability (LOLP) is selected as the reliability index. Then, based on the sequence operation theory, a fast reliability assessment algorithm is built considering the wind-solar hybrid system. In addition, with achieving the minimum LOLP of the overall distributed generation being the optimization objective, an improved genetic algorithm is used to solve the optimization configuration problem of the installed capacity of wind and solar power plants, based on the above-mentioned reliability assessing algorithm. Finally, the simulation result shows that the algorithm ensures the accuracy of the results while greatly reducing the computational time cost when compared with the traditional Mont-Carlo based method.
