Intelligent Method for Identifying the Switching States of a Disconnector Based on Transient Enclosure Voltage Characteristics in GIS
Transient overvoltages (VFTO) generated during the operation of disconnectors in Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) induce transient enclosure voltages (TEV) on the GIS enclosure, closely linked to the disconnector's switching states, offering valuable diagnostic insights. This paper proposes an intelligent method for determining the switching states of GIS disconnectors by analyzing TEV signals from the GIS enclosure. A transient electromagnetic model was developed to simulate the distribution characteristics of TEV during disconnector operation. The simulation results validate the approach, showing significant differences in both the amplitude and waveform of TEV between open and closed states. By extracting time-domain features of TEV and using a Support Vector Machine (SVM) for binary classification, the method achieves high-precision state identification with a prediction accuracy of 100%. This approach offers a promising solution for intelligent condition monitoring of GIS.
