Active and Reactive Power Coordinated Optimal Dispatch for Distribution Networks with High Penetration of Distributed PVs
With the rapid growth of the installed capacity of grid-connected distributed photovoltaic (PV), the distribution networks in some areas have developed into those with high penetration of distributed PVs. Meanwhile, the installation scale of multiple power equipment in distribution networks that can flexibly adjust the active and reactive power flow, such as energy storage systems, static var compensators, and grid-connected PV inverters, is proliferating. How to fully coordinately control multiple flexible resources on the substation side and the feeder side to achieve multiple operation goals, such as reducing network losses, reducing voltage deviations, improving photovoltaic absorption and operation economy, has become the major concerns of distribution network operators (DNOs). In this paper, we propose an active power & reactive power coordinated optimal dispatch model for the distribution networks with high penetration of distributed PVs. Then, we introduced the solution method of the proposed model. Finally, we conducted case studies on the IEEE 33 bus distribution network and verified the effectiveness of the proposed model.
