Electricity-Carbon Market Clearing Model Based on Combined Carbon Abatement Mechanism and Locational Marginal Price Analysis
Considering the effect of carbon price uncertainty on the carbon trading mechanism, the carbon trading costs utilizing scenario analysis is built. Taking into account energy endowment of different regions, carbon taxes are levied on regions with high carbon emission intensity. Then, an electricity-carbon coupled market clearing model based on composite carbon abatement mechanism is established, subsequently yielding locational marginal electricity-carbon prices (EC-LMP). Through quantitative analysis, the impact of carbon price uncertainty and carbon tax levels on prices in the electricity-carbon coupled market is examined.
