Migration of Desktop Applications for Power Systems Operation and Management Based on Binary Translation Engine: PhyBin
Domestic substitution is an important strategic goal in the field of power system scheduling, with the aim of increasing technological autonomy and reducing dependence on external supply chains with domestically produced chips. China's chip industry has made significant progress in developing a wide range of domestically produced microprocessors, DSPs, FPGAs, and ASICs suitable for power system operation and management. These domestically produced chips not only support the core functions of the power system, but also provide performance and reliability that are competitive with international products. This paper realizes a scheduling system migration based on PhyBin, a binary translation engine with complete Chinese intellectual property rights. This technology enables software originally designed to run on imported X86 chips to migrate seamlessly to nationally produced ARM chips without the need to rewrite large amounts of code. This not only accelerates the localization process, but also ensures the continuity and stability of power system dispatch. Through binary translation, the instruction set architectural differences between different chips can be effectively overcome to achieve cross-platform compatibility of software.
