Study on the Impact of Leading Reservoir on the Daily Regulation Capacity of Cascade Small Hydropower Stations
In recent years, affected by the climate, the gap between the water quantity of small hydropower in the southwest of China is larger, the water is seriously abandoned in the high season, the flow is insufficient in the low season, and the small hydropower has almost no regulating capacity. Leading Reservoir has a wide controllable basin and great flexibility. It can store water and discharge flood in high-rain season, alleviate the problem of insufficient small hydropower output in low-rain season, and adjust the whole basin, which is of great significance in building a new power system to achieve the goal of “double carbon”. Three cascaded small hydropower stations in a county of Sichuan Province are all runoff diversion power stations, which cause a large amount of water abandonment in high-rain season and a sharp decline in power generation in low-rain season. In order to improve the status quo of this cascade small hydropower station, this paper constructs upstream reservoirs according to local policies of the small hydropower station and carries out commercial application in wetland park. Four dam construction schemes are proposed for the storage capacity of the leading reservoir, and the power generation adjustment time and power generation are compared with those without dam construction to make it a leading reservoir in the basin. The aim is to improve the overall regulation capacity of cascade small hydropower in the basin. The cascade small hydropower and photovoltaic power generation are closely combined to provide the foundation for the future cascade water-light complementary combined power generation technology, and provide ideas for the capacity improvement of small hydropower to improve the adjustment capacity.
