Pulsation Reducing Effect in DC Current and Torque for Motor Fault-Tolerance Based on Second Order Component Power Cancelation
This paper proposed a novel fault-tolerance control method. In the conventional method, reverse-phase component in phase current was canceled to reduce torque ripple while maintaining average torque. On the other hand, since zero-phase current was utilized, motor driving with H-bridge inverters was mandatory. Moreover, the feedback system had not been constructed, resulting in enormous effort for achieving accurate control. In this research, to realize reverse-phase cancelation with half-bridge inverters, the fault-tolerant control method that cancels the 2nd-order component of electric power under the non-zero-phase current constraint was developed. Moreover, the feedback system for the reverse-phase current superimposition was constructed. In this paper, the numerical verification using MATLAB/Simulink was conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Moreover, the obtained results were compared with conventional methods.
