Torque Ripple Reduction Control of Axial Rotor-Staggered Permanent Magnet Reluctance Motor Using Nonlinear Extend State Observer
In this article, a nonlinear extend state observer (NESO) is proposed to reduce the torque ripple caused by the cogging torque in axial rotor-staggered permanent magnet reluctance motor (ARS-PMRM). Based on the energy method, the causes and effects of cogging torque in ARS-PMRM are analyzed. To suppress the torque ripple caused by the motor cogging torque, a NESO based active disturbance rejection control is constructed in the ARS-PMRM speed loop, and the simulation results show that the proposed control method is able to suppress the motor torque pulsation effectively.
