Harmonic Injection-Based Torque Ripple Suppression Strategy for Synchronous Reluctance Motor
The principle of operation for synchronous reluctance motors and permanent magnet synchronous motors is similar because of inductance, reluctance that is constantly changing, and distortion of the air gap magnetic field. These factors result in current harmonics and cause the synchronous reluctance motor to experience torque ripple, which has a major impact on the motor's operational stability. For this challenge, a harmonic injection-based synchronous reluctance motor control method is proposed in this study. It is verified by simulation that the method can successfully suppress the synchronous reluctance motor's harmonic current, lessen torque ripple, and enhance motor operation stability.
