A Current Observer for Interior Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor with Single DC-Link Current Sensor
Three-phase currents of Interior Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) can be reconstructed by single DC-link current sensor which can reduce volume, weigh and cost. However, there is a significant error in the reconstructed current when the motor starts up and poor total harmonic distortion (THD) in steady-state. This paper presents a Luenberger-based current observer to optimize the reconstructed currents and minimize the reconstruction error. Simulation results verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.
