The Effect of Mechanical Treatment on the Performances of Graphene / Copper Composites
The increasing demand of electric energy distribution with lower loss has attracted much attention. The composite of graphene and copper with high electric conductivity and high thermal conductivity is considered as an ideal material for the conductor in transformer. It is a challenge to produce proper electromagnetic wire suitable for power transformer by graphene / copper composites. In this processes, mechanical treatment should be play a key role. This work reports the multi-pass rolling processing on pure copper samples, graphene-copper samples and graphite/copper samples and its effect on the micro-structure and electric conductivity. The experimental results show that the incorporation of graphene still has a positive effect on the electrical conductivity of copper after rolling.
