Frequency Regulation Control Strategy of Over-Speed Wind Turbines Considering Optimal Operation Point
Traditional WTG(wind turbine generator) control strategy tend to fail to take advantage of the maximum frequency regulation benefits of over-speed wind turbine. Therefore, on the basis of in-depth study of frequency control of over-speed wind turbine, the relationship between inertial response and primary frequency regulation and steady-state operation point are analyzed. Then an over-speed wind turbine FM control strategy considering the optimal operating point is proposed. The control strategy solves the optimal operating point under different wind speeds through the frequency regulation energy model, and makes full use of the reserve capacity of the WTG to participate in the frequency regulation. This can achieve the optimal coordination between the frequency drop speed, depth and steady state deviation. The system simulation model is constructed in DIgSILENT for verification. And the results show that the proposed control strategy can improve the dynamic frequency response characteristics of the system under different wind speeds, and ensure the stability of the WTG's own operation.
