SOC Control Strategy of Energy Storage System Based on Brin Line Theory
With the expansion of new energy generation and the cost reduction of lithium batteries, energy storage technology has become the key to the “dual carbon” goal. Given that the extreme level of SOC (state of charge) of an energy storage system can shorten its service life, it is particularly important to implement reasonable control strategies to avoid excessive charge and discharge. Therefore, we propose a new SOC control strategy based on Bollinger line theory. With reference to the stock market Brin channel risk prediction and management method, this strategy can innovatively delineate SOC safety interval and predict SOC change trend in advance, so as to effectively prevent risks caused by insufficient adjustment ability or excessive charge and discharge. Simulation experiments show that this strategy can accurately identify the risk of SOC deviation from the safe range when the energy storage system participates in the task of power grid peak and frequency regulation, and take preventive measures quickly, which significantly extends the service life of the energy storage system.
