GaN-Based 200kHz LCC-S WPTS Against Misalignment Condition with Non-Equal-Size Couplers
The efficiency of the Wireless Power Transfer Systems (WPTS) using traditional topology is greatly threatened by the fluctuation of mutual inductance of the couplers when operating under the misalignment condition. This paper investigates the resilience of GaN-Based 200kHz LCC-S WPTS under misalignment conditions using non-equal-size couplers. A detailed circuit model of the LCC-S compensation network is derived and the voltage and current characteristic is analyzed. The phase shift control strategy is employed to adjust the output voltage and power. The mechanism of Zero Voltage Switching(ZVS) is explored and verified. Electromagnetic simulations of the couplers are run and the relationship between transferring efficiency and mutual inductance resulting from misalignment of the couplers is built. The WPTS prototype is built on which the experiment is conducted to verify the power transfer stability under various conditions.
