Self-Supervised Learning: The Core of Next-Gen Machine Learning and a Paradigm Shift in AI
Self-supervised learning (SSL) commands advance tutoring models beyond the need of wide labeled data, making it scarce for fields with restricted annotated resources, like computer vision, NLP, remote sensing, and imaging in the field of medicals. By manipulating pseudo-labels from pretext tasks, SSL methods have drawn attention for their advancements like image classification and even object detection. This study aims to draw light on contrastive SSL, which acquires the knowledge robustly, invariant features with data transformations, refining model resilience to adversarial perturbations and labeled noises. The Self-Supervised Semi-Supervised Learning (SSL) framework which accumulates SSL with Semi-Supervised techniques, is known for its effectiveness through high-performance models with small labeled Implementations in remote sensing and medical imaging SSL's verbalities and abstraction across domains. This study scrutinizes SSL strategies, examines performance benchmarks, and recognizes future research directions for applicability. upgrading robustness and SSL promises well-regulated and multi-skilled learning with nominal labeled data required.
