Planning and Configuration of Multi-Hydrogen Energy System in Iron and Steel Industrial Park Considering Low Carbon

As the global energy crisis escalates, hydrogen energy emerges as a crucial renewable energy source. With its pivotal role in hydrogen production and consumption, iron and steel industrial parks hold inherent advantages in harnessing hydrogen energy. However, there remains a lack of comprehensive research into the synergistic utilization and overall benefits of various hydrogen production systems within these parks. We address this gap by utilizing the traditional integrated energy system framework of iron and steel enterprises, covering both long and short production processes. It introduces electric green hydrogen and gas blue hydrogen, outlining an energy system framework for iron and steel industrial parks powered by multi-hydrogen synergy. Drawing from this framework, a planning model is formulated with the primary objective of maximizing the net income of the iron and steel industrial park. The model incorporates the entire production and storage process of green and blue hydrogen as a constraint. Additionally, it explores the implications of hydrogen pricing on system planning and configuration. Through a specific example, the study highlights the economic and low-carbon benefits of leveraging green and blue hydrogen.
