Long-short Term Optimal Configuration For Hydrogen Battery Energy Storage System In Multi-Microgrids With Heterogeneous Sources

With advancements in energy storage technology, hydrogen battery energy storage systems (HBESS) are set to become a new application in customer-side energy storage. This paper first analyzes the structure of HBESS and multi-microgrids and establishes a model for the system. A bi-level programming model is developed, with the upper layer focusing on the long-term optimal capacity planning of the HBESS, while the lower layer concentrates on the short-term optimization of combined cooling, heating, and power (CCHP) across multiple microgrids. The lower-level optimization problem is converted into the constraints for the upper-level model by applying the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions. To linearize the nonlinear aspects of the problem, the Big-M method is utilized. Simulations conducted in MATLAB, using the YALMIP plug-in and the commercial solver Gurobi 11.0.2, ultimately verify the model's effectiveness and practicality.
