A Resilience Boosting Approach for Distribution Networks considering Multiple Distributed Resources

This research presents a novel method to enhance the robustness of distribution networks by coordinating various distributed resources, including mobile energy storage systems (MESS), photovoltaic units (PV), diesel generators (DG), and electric vehicles (EVs). The main objective is to enhance the grid's robustness and recovery capacity during extreme events. Initially, the study outlines the mathematical models for distributed generations (DG) units and MESS. Following this, a two-phase optimization framework is presented, encompassing pre-disaster mitigation and post-disaster recovery. The efficacy of the proposed approach is confirmed through comparative simulations. The findings highlight the crucial role of dynamically coordinating diverse distributed energy resources post-disaster to significantly improve the toughness of distribution networks.
