Reciprocating Drive of Position Sensorless Linear Switched Reluctance Motor Based on Mathematical Model of Magnetization Curves

This paper presents a linear switched reluctance motor reciprocating drive with position sensorless control based on mathematical model of magnetization curves. We investigated initial mover position estimation, starting, decelerating, stopping and restarting methods for position sensorless control. It was confirmed that the proposed method allows a good reciprocating drive of the experimental machine.

Abstract

This paper presents a linear switched reluctance motor reciprocating drive with position sensorless control based on mathematical model of magnetization curves. We investigated initial mover position estimation, starting, decelerating, stopping and restarting methods for position sensorless control. It was confirmed that the proposed method allows a good reciprocating drive of the experimental machine.
