Autonomous Passivity Model Predictive Control for Fixed-Time Feedforward Decoupling of DC Microgrids With Constant Power Loads

The negative incremental impedance and non-linear characteristic of constant power load adversely affect the stable operation of DC microgrid. On the other hand, the multi-converter parallel system should exhibit excellent robustness and coordination in dealing with source-load side disturbances. Hence, this article proposes an autonomous passivity model predictive control strategy for DC microgrid with constant power load. Notably, by combining the advantages of passivity and model predictive control to compensate for the weaknesses of each other, and with the assistance of fixed-time higher order sliding mode observer to provide concise autonomous control strategy while possessing decentralized power sharing. The comparative experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed controller.
