Electromagnetic-Structural Coupled Analysis of Magnetic-Elastic Power Generation System with High Load and Small Deformation Characteristics

In this paper, a coupled analysis method for the magnetic-elastic power generation system is proposed. This method analyzes the generation system by representing it as lumped parameter systems and by calculating lumped parameters using the stationary finite element method (FEM). By configuring a coupled lumped parameter system, its numerical analysis can be conducted with much low-computational cost compared to a full finite analysis (FEA). This method can be applied to various electromagnetic-structural deformation problem. For validation of this analysis model, the results of numerical analysis were compared with full FEA results. Experimental test was additionally conducted to show the feasibility of the proposed method.
