Modeling and Stability Analysis for Weinberg Converter Using Peak Current Control Mode
Non-isolated Weinberg converter is competitive for battery discharge regulator(BDR) as a result of the merits of high efficiency, continuous input and output current and convenience to design. The aim of this work is to get a dynamic model of Weinberg converter with peak current control mode. It presents the conditions that the slope must satisfy in slope compensation, proposes the relationship between perturbation ratio and cut-off frequency and phase margin of current inner loop, and analyzes the impact of different perturbation ratio on the loop frequency response. The simulation results are given to verify the effectiveness of the design and modeling. Finally, an engineering prototype with a switching frequency same as the simulation was built, combined with high power pulse load to test. The results prove that dynamic performance of the converter is excellent when the load is working from the initial state to the steady state.
