Torque Ripple Suppression Control in Medium to High-Speed Ranges With Position Sensorless Vector Control
The spatial harmonics of the flux linkage generate torque ripple, which causes vibration and noise in the interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSMs). General torque ripple suppression control can suppress the ripples in the low-speed range; however, it is difficult to suppress them in the medium to high-speed range. This paper proposes a novel torque ripple suppression control that can be applied in a wide speed range using an all-pass filter with complex coefficients. Simulation and experimental results show suppression of the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$6th$</tex> -order torque ripple with a wide speed range under position sensorless control. The suppression rate in the high-speed range was approximately 52% for the simulation and 8.0 dB for the experiment.
