Fault-tolerant Control Strategy for Single-phase Open Circuit Fault for Six-phase Doubly Salient Electromagnetic Machine
The traditional Six-phase Doubly Salient Electromagnetic Machine (DSEM) fault-tolerant control using proportional integral (PI) controller will result in significant torque fluctuations and high harmonic content. In order to solve this problem, this paper presents an improved fault-tolerant control strategy for single-phase open circuit faults based on proportional dual-resonant (PDR). Firstly, the control method for the normal operation of the six-phase DSEM is presented. when a single-phase open circuit fault occurs in a six-phase DSEM, this paper presents a fault-tolerant control strategy. In addition, an improved fault-tolerant control strategy based on PDR controllers is proposed on the basis of traditional fault-tolerant control strategy, which can track AC signals without static error and reduce the harmonic content compared to traditional PI controllers. Finally, the simulation and experimental results validate the correctness and feasibility of the proposed method.
