A Visualization Approach to Enhance Maintenance in Electric Power Communication Networks
The electric power communication network is vital for enhancing modern power grids’ efficiency, reliability, and resilience. A critical aspect of maintaining this network is planning physical routes, especially when existing routes are damaged. Currently, this process is mainly manual, involving extensive surveys and analysis, making it time-consuming and prone to errors. To address these challenges, this paper introduces a visualization approach that automates the planning of physical routes for electric power communication networks. Our system provides a comprehensive overview of damaged and potential new routes. By framing route generation as an image inpainting task and employing a GAN-based model, our approach effectively generates appropriate physical routes within specified areas. The effectiveness and usability of this visualization system have been validated by domain experts, confirming its potential to significantly enhance the maintenance and management of electric power communication networks.
