An Accurate Solution to Nonlinear Optimization Problem in Distribution Network VVC Participated with PV Inverters
Photovoltaic (PV) inverters can quickly and flexibly offer reactive power support, aiding in voltage regulation and reducing losses in distribution networks. However, as the number of parameters to be optimized in existing voltage control models for PV inverters increases, the complexity of the nonlinear terms in these models also grows, leading to a heavier computational burden. To address this issue, this paper presents a comprehensive optimization method for the voltage/VAR control(VVC) performance of PV inverters based on normalized multiparametric disaggregation. The method aims to optimize the reactive power setpoints and control function of PV inverters through a centralized approach, minimizing network losses and average bus voltage deviation. A droop control model for PV inverters is established, and a continuous variable discretization method is used to convert the non-convex nonlinear constraints in the piecewise linear control model into linearized constraints that can be efficiently solved.
