An Open-winding Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drive System Based on The CSI-VSI Hybrid Converter
This paper proposes a hybrid inverter combined of a voltage source inverter (VSI) and a current source inverter (CSI) for the open-winding permanent magnet synchronous motor (OW-PMSM) driving system, where the CSI is connected to the power source and the other side of VSI is connected to the capacitor. The capacitor voltage of VSI is employed to regulate the reactive power to furtherly widen the speed range of the driving system, and a triple-closed-loop control strategy is established for the hybrid inverter. Finally, the simulation and experiment results are implemented to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed system.
