Research on Reserve Capacity Planning Method for Distribution Systems Considering Uncertainty of Temperature-Controlled Loads

The integration of a high proportion of renewable energy sources into the power system often results in significant power deficits. Distribution systems aggregate numerous flexible resources, offering considerable potential for providing reserve ancillary services. However, due to the uncertainty associated with flexible resources, the reserve capacity of distribution systems may not be reliable. This paper proposes a method for planning reserve capacity in distribution systems that supports ancillary services, considering the uncertainty of temperature-controlled response loads. The method includes a data-driven modeling process for temperature-controlled response loads and a two-layer planning approach for distribution system reserve capacity. The simulation analysis of modified IEEE-33 nodes is carried out to verify the model's effectiveness.
