Three-Phase to Single-Phase Matrix Converter that Suppresses Voltage Fluctuations During Load Changes
The application of matrix converter(MC) to microgrids has attracted much attention in recent years. Voltage dips due to increased load demand and voltage fluctuations in distributed power supplies lead to load voltage fluctuations. This paper proposes the addition of a control to suppress the pulsations that occur during load fluctuations on the demand side to an MC with a control side that responds to fluctuations on the grid side. Simulation verification confirms that the proposed method improves the time required to return to steady state.
