The Impact of Renewable Energy Fault Recovery Rate on the Transient Stability of the Sending-End Power Grid
The low voltage ride-through (LVRT) characteristics of renewable energy are different from the synchronous generators, resulting in the dynamic characteristics of power system are more complex after the integration of large-scale renewable energy. Therefore, the low voltage ride-through behavior, especially the fault recovery rate of renewable power needs to be considered. First, the mathematical model of the renewable energy during LVRT is presented, then the impacts of fault recovery rate on the transient stability of the analyzed based on a simple long-chain sending-end power system, with a conclusion that a lower fault recovery rate is more beneficial to the transient stability of the power system. Finally, a simulation example is built based on the PSASP platform, and the correctness of the proposed method is validated.
