Analysis of Inter-turn Short-circuit Characteristics in Single-phase Traction Transformers Based on Digital Twin
The efficient and stable operation of power transformers is paramount for ensuring the continuity, stability, and safety of power supply systems. This research delves into the intricate electromagnetic-thermal-structural multi-field coupling mechanisms in single-phase transformers during short-circuit conditions. Utilizing ANSYS Maxwell and Workbench, we constructed 3D electromagnetic models to simulate both normal and short-circuit scenarios, analyzing electromagnetic force magnitudes and directions. Subsequently, we integrated these results to evaluate transformer deformation, stress distributions, and thermal behavior under inter-turn short circuits. This comprehensive analysis contributes valuable insights into transformer design optimization and fault detection strategies.
