Techno-Economic Selection of Multi-Scenario DC Distribution Voltage Level Sequences for Future Power Grids
The integration of distributed energy resources (DERs) and electric vehicles (EVs) is driving the shift towards direct current (DC) power distribution, known for its energy efficiency and reduced transmission losses. However, selecting optimal DC voltage levels remains challenging, as current methods often fail to balance technical performance and economic efficiency across various scenarios like urban areas, industrial parks, and rural microgrids. This study proposes a novel, scenario-specific approach to DC voltage selection using a techno-economic analysis that considers load capacity, transmission distance, and equipment capabilities. The results demonstrate improved adaptability, better DER integration, and enhanced economic performance for DC networks.
