Research on Harmonic Resonance Suppression of AC Integrated Offshore Wind Farm with Impedance Reshaping STATCOM
To suppress the harmonic resonance in AC integrated offshore wind farm, this paper investigates the suppression method based on the STATCOM installed at the onshore control center. An impedance reshaping method of the STATCOM is proposed based on electrical signal quantities in the abc reference frame. Compared to conventional virtual impedance control in the dq reference frame, the method presented in this paper enables the stable construction of a wideband virtual resistor, significantly enhancing the damping characteristics of the STATCOM itself. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by a case study of harmonic resonance suppression in a practical AC integrated offshore wind farm.
