A Starting Control Scheme for Dual Three-Phase Three-Stage Brushless Synchronous Starter/Generator Based on VSD Conversion
A novel aircraft dual three-phase three-stage brushless synchronous starter/generators (TSBSSG) system and its starting control scheme are proposed. Firstly, the topology and operation principle of the proposed TSBSSG system are given and analyzed. Then, the starting control methods based on vector space decoupling (VSD) conversion for the TSBSSG system is studied, which can realize the decoupling control of the six-phase main motor, make the system work at the maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) status and effectively reduce the stator harmonic current. Owing to the phase-shifted 30° dual three-phase winding structure of the main motor, the proposed TSBSSG system has the characteristics of higher reliability and power density. The effectiveness and correctness of the proposed starting control scheme is verified by the simulation results.
