Q-Axis Current-Based Excitation Current Calculation Method for Torque Ripple Suppression of Hybrid Excitation Machine
The parallel hybrid excitation machine (PHEM) consists of a permanent magnet machine part and a reluctance machine part. The introduction of the reluctance machine part enhances the flux regulation capability and expands the speed range of the PHEM. However, it also brings a distinct torque ripple. Faced with this issue, an excitation current calculation method based on the q-axis armature current using a single-layer winding structure is proposed, which offsets the reluctance torque and cogging torque by adjusting the excitation current. In this paper, the PHEM and its unique single-layer winding structure in the reluctance machine part is introduced. The principle of torque ripple suppression is analyzed, and its effectiveness is evaluated.
