Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna for 5G,6G, and mm Wave Application

The proposed high-gain rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) is optimized for X, K, and Ka bands with a defective ground structure (DGS) and microstrip feed, enhancing impedance matching, current distribution, and bandwidth. A defective ground structure (DGS) featuring strategically placed circular and rectangular cuts, improves impedance matching, controls current distribution, and enhances bandwidth. It contributes to these enhancements by optimizing power transfer. the operating frequencies of 18.3GHz, 27.2GHz, and 35GHz, and covering a bandwidth of 12.5-21.42GHz its S11=44.2dB, 25.1-29.8GHz its S11=17.2dB and 31.4-36.6GHz its S11=24.2dB, where good impedance matching is evident. It covers bandwidths of 48.47%, 17.27%, and 14.85% respectively. Gain of 7.8 dB, 8.22 dB, and 8.12 dB. The radiation efficiency was more than 94.82%,96.52%, and 98.81 % respectively, it is ideal for applications like satellite communications, radar, and high-frequency wireless systems.
