Full-Order Super-Twisting Non-Singular Terminal Sliding Mode Observer for PMSM Sensorless Control
This paper proposes a full-order nonsingular terminal sliding mode observer based on the super-twisting algorithm for back electromotive force (EMF) estimation in permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs), enabling sensorless control of PMSMs. This method incorporates the nonsingular terminal sliding mode surface into the super-twisting sliding mode observer (SMO) and extends the PMSM dynamic equations to full order to address the issues of chattering and convergence associated with traditional SMOs. Through numerical simulation analysis, a comparative study between the traditional SMO and the proposed observer is conducted to validate the feasibility.
