High Distance to Diameter Ratio Wireless Power Trans-Fer System
Traditional contact slip rings suffer from contact friction problems and need to be replaced periodically. Due to the application background of aerospace slip rings, it is difficult to replace them frequently, while wireless power transmission (WPT) is more suitable for power transmission in spacecraft due to its non-contact characteristics. Due to the expanding aerospace application scenarios, in order to be applicable with long distance and small volume working conditions, a high pitch-to-diameter ratio WPT system with higher efficiency needs to be designed. In this paper, a multi-coil WPT system with a central core is proposed, the core is designed to be lightweight, the size of the compensation capacitance is designed under the four-coil segmental compensation method, the theory is initially verified through the simulation model, and an experimental platform is built to achieve a system with 5kW output and 96 transmission efficiency.
