Suppression of Common Mode Currents at the eVehicle Three Phase PWM Inverter Output Using AC Core
This paper deals with the study of suppression of the common mode currents at the output of e Vehicle three-phase pulse width modulation (PWM) inverter using AC core. The selection of AC core remains challenged because of dimensions and material properties such as permeability. A simulation methodology has been proposed to select the appropriate AC core by varying the dimensions and permeability properties. The input (Common mode voltage) for AC busbars in simulation is taken from the inverter output which is extracted from measurement. The common mode current waveforms with and without AC core observed in simulation are compared with measurement. The simulation is performed using ANSYS Electronics Desktop (EDT) electromagnetic simulation software.
