Equivalent Circuit Parameters Identification of High-Power Synchronous Generators via SSFR Tests
This work introduces a methodology grounded in the standstill frequency response (SSFR) tests as outlined in IEEE Std 115-A. The process begins by determining the frequency response of direct and quadrature axis inductances, followed by the identification of transfer function models through curve fitting techniques. By utilizing time constants as input variables and synchronous machine circuit parameters as outputs, the parameters of different model configurations can be efficiently estimated using the numerical Newton-Raphson method. This technique proves to be both cost-efficient and highly accurate, ensuring dependable results.
