Autonomous Robot Navigation with SLAM, AMCL, and Real-Time User Interaction for Task Management and Identity Verification
This paper presents the development of an autonomous robot system utilizing the Nvidia Jetson Nano, designed for efficient self-navigation and task management. The system integrates Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), Adaptive Monte Carlo Localization (AMCL), and LiDAR for accurate real-time mapping and localization. Microcontrollers are employed for task execution, user interaction, and real-time monitoring via a web portal, with task completion verified through QR code scanning and voice notifications to the user. The system allows users to send requests for item retrieval or delivery, with the robot autonomously carrying out the tasks. The robot was tested in various environments, demonstrating high task accuracy, energy efficiency, and reliable performance. Future work will focus on priority-based task execution, energy-efficient path planning, and advanced user identification systems.
