A novel block-based Interpolation reversible data hiding algorithm using dual image
Reversible Data Hiding(RDH) algorithm is to embed as much secret data as possible in a reversible manner while maintaining image quality. We propose a dual-image, block-based interpolation algorithm, eliminating down-sampling and ensuring full recovery of the cover image with improved watermarked image quality. Firstly, duplicate the cover image into two dual images. Then, the dual images are divided into $2 \times 2$ non-overlapping blocks, embed the secret data into different non-reference pixels of the two dual images using an interpolation algorithm. We demonstrate that the secret data can be correctly extracted, the cover image is fully recovered, and there are no overflow or underflow problems. Experiments results showed our algorithm makes progress in both embedding capacity, image quality and can stand some steganographic analysis.
