Design of an Optimal Energy Management Strategy for Hybrid Microgrid Systems
This study aims to optimize a hybrid microgrid systems using advanced algorithms to address cost, reliability, and environmental impact. Five algorithms were compared: ACO, FPA, PSO, GA, and ANN. The results showed that PSO achieved the lowest Cost of Energy (COE) at 10282.5831 N/MWh, followed by GA, while ACO and FPA had higher costs. For reliability, GA had the best performance in Loss of Power Supply Probability (LPSP) at 0.9058, with PSO and ACO following. PSO was the most environmentally friendly, with the lowest emissions at 4932.2088 g/kWh. The study concludes that PSO and GA are the most effective algorithms, balancing cost, reliability, and environmental impact, while ACO and FPA showed moderate performance. However, further research is needed to improve other algorithms for better energy system optimization.
