Security Control Techniques for Device Access in 5G-enabled Manufacturing Scenarios
This paper explores integrating 5G technology into manufacturing to enhance intelligent perception, precise control, and communication, leveraging its wide coverage, high capacity, speed, and low latency to advance digitalisation, increase production, and reduce costs. However, the deployment of 5G in settings faces challenges such as over-reliance on wired connections and stringent data security requirements. To address these issues, we propose a comprehensive system architecture incorporating an indoor coverage system with small 5G base stations and secure access methods for typical devices. Additionally, we introduce two key technologies to enhance device security: a specialised protection technique for 5G application devices and a trusted access security control technology. These solutions aim to improve the security, reliability, and stability of 5G-enabled manufacturing, thereby meeting the sector’s high standards for performance, security and confidentiality.
