Enhancing Microgrid Efficiency: A Synergy of PV Systems and Demand-Side Management

The modernization of traditional power grids presents challenges in balancing storage costs and transitioning to cleaner energy sources. This study introduces an innovative approach to improving the efficiency of smart microgrids through the integration of photovoltaic (PV) systems with demand-side management (DSM) strategies. By coordinating solar energy generation with demand management, the system optimizes energy consumption, reducing reliance on costly energy storage solutions. This approach effectively minimizes energy losses and maximizes the utilization of solar power, leading to enhanced efficiency and sustainability in residential energy management. The results indicate that this integrated system offers a viable solution for addressing the growing energy needs of communities while contributing to climate change mitigation efforts.
