Remote Monitoring and Control of Solar Photovoltaic Power Generation
There is a pressing need to synchronise efforts to address energy poverty and reduce carbon emissions. This initiative aims to promote the adoption of decentralised power generation systems in order to mitigate the common uncertainty associated with power transmission. The adoption of solar power systems is increasing due to its affordability and reduced complexity compared to fossil fuel-based power generation. However, there are numerous challenges associated with solar power systems that lead to a reduction in their optimal operational efficiency. An important challenge is ensuring sufficient monitoring of the energy pool derived from solar irradiance. This study developed a remote monitoring and control device for solar power generation. The device is highly effective due to its superior solar irradiance exposure, resulting in a 25% increase in voltage pooling capacity compared to a system using static solar panels.
