Research on Magnetic Decoy Arrays Based on NSGA-II Algorithm

To address the challenge of ensuring a submarine can smoothly pass through a strait and complete its mission, this article proposes using a magnetic decoy array to simulate the submarine’s induced magnetic field, thereby misleading enemy magnetic detection systems and enhancing its counter-detection capability. The magnetic decoy array is arranged in a cruciform shape, and the array is transformed by changing the number of magnetic decoy on the horizontal and vertical axes. Using the submarine’s near-field and far-field magnetic fields as simulation signals, a multi-objective optimization function is constructed to minimize the error relative to the submarine’s induced magnetic field, and the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II) algorithm is employed to solve it. This study analyzes and explores the Pareto solution set of the magnetic fields generated by arrays with different total numbers of decoys and varying arrangements, as well as the magnetic field strength differences between the submarine’s near-field and far-field at two heights. The results indicate that, compared to single-structure magnetic decoy, the proposed magnetic decoy array offers better simulation performance and structural flexibility, demonstrating its potential as a new type of magnetic decoy system.
